One Current

Terms of Service

The agreement, in plain words.

These terms cover One Current and its companion app. They are short on purpose — if anything here is unclear, write to us and we'll explain it like a person would.

Last updated: August 2026

1. What the service is

One Current is a private map of the threads in your life — the worries, decisions, and open loops that pull on your attention — drawn as branches off one main line, on your own device. One Current — Practice is the practitioner viewer: an app where a psychologist or therapist can see exactly the threads a client chose to share with them, and nothing else. Practice is free for clinicians.

By using either app or this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service — no hard feelings.

2. Your account

The core app works without an account. If you create one — for backup, sharing, or Pro — keep your credentials to yourself and tell us at hello@onecurrentapp.com if you believe someone else is using them. You must be old enough to consent to a contract like this one in the place where you live.

3. One Current Pro

Pro is a paid subscription. The prices are:

  • €6 per month, billed monthly,
  • €30 per 6 months, billed every six months,
  • €48 per year, billed yearly.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via Manage subscription in the app, which opens the Stripe customer portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and you keep Pro until then. Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details never touch our server. Prices include VAT where it applies.

4. Your right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To exercise it, email hello@onecurrentapp.com within those 14 days with an unambiguous statement that you withdraw — we'll refund the payment using the same payment method. By starting the subscription immediately, you agree that the service begins before the withdrawal period ends; if you withdraw after having used Pro, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the days of service already provided, as the law allows.

5. Acceptable use

Use the service for what it is. In particular, don't:

  • break, probe, or overload the service, or try to access accounts, backups, or shares that aren't yours;
  • use a share code you weren't given, or redeem someone's share without their knowledge;
  • resell the service or misrepresent yourself as a clinician in Practice to obtain someone's shared data;
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

One Current is not medical advice, and it is not a crisis service. It is a tool for seeing your own attention clearly — it does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and no part of it replaces a qualified professional. Sharing with your psychologist supports a conversation; it is not a medical record. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line now — the app cannot help you with that, and it will never claim to.

6. Your content

Everything you write in One Current is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no license to it beyond what is technically necessary to provide the features you invoke — storing a backup you upload, or delivering a share you send. See the privacy page for exactly what the server holds and how to delete it.

7. Liability

We provide the service with care, but as-is: to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data you chose to keep only on one device — the app gives you Export everything and cloud backup precisely so a lost phone doesn't mean a lost history. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life and health, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and, for account holders, by email, before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can cancel and delete everything at any time.

9. Who you're agreeing with

The service is provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS]. These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.

Questions about any of this: hello@onecurrentapp.com.
